In 2023, KRISS USA launched a commemorative limited-edition model called the KRISS Vector Origin. The Vector Origin pays homage to the years of product development and engineering that went into creating the groundbreaking KRISS Super V recoil mitigation system and serves as a bookmark in our company’s history as we continue to strive to bring more unique and innovative solutions.
Combining the original looks of early Vector prototypes with the refinements of the modern-day Vector, the Vector Origin is offered as a .45ACP carbine with a 16” barrel. It features a round barrel shroud, a hinged upper receiver with a side-folding stock, and comes accessorized with steel folding sights, a vertical grip, and a hard case with custom-cut foam.
The KRISS Vector’s Super V Recoil Mitigation System is a delayed blowback operating system with a small bolt carrier group connected to a low-mass slider guided by channels in the frame that run perpendicular to the barrel. As a result, the KRISS Super V System redirects blowback energy downward, counteracting the barrel’s natural tendency to rise when fired.
Additionally, the KRISS Vector features the lowest bore axis of any firearm in the world. The barrel is situated below the fire control group, in line with the second knuckle of the dominant hand, giving the operator a mechanical advantage over recoil forces. This aids in controlling the KRISS Vector for fast and accurate follow-up shots.
