Overview
The Aimpoint CompM5 is a compact, lightweight, and extremely rugged red dot sight from the professional Comp series. It was engineered to take up minimal space on the weapon platform while providing outstanding durability in demanding operating environments.
This AR15 Ready configuration, includes an LRP (Lever Release Picatinny) quick-detach mount and a 39 mm spacer. It installs directly on a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail and positions the optical axis 39 mm above the rail.
2 MOA Red Dot
The precise 2 MOA red dot provides an effective balance of fast target acquisition and practical accuracy. The sight is operationally parallax-free: once zeroed, the dot remains parallel to the weapon bore even when the shooter’s eye position changes behind the optic.
Advanced lenses with optimized reflective coatings improve dot definition and light transmission. Its 18 mm clear aperture and unlimited eye relief support fast, both-eyes-open shooting.
Night Vision and Brightness
The CompM5 offers 10 brightness settings: four compatible with night-vision devices and six daylight settings, including one extra-bright level. It is compatible with all generations of night vision devices as well as Aimpoint 3x and 6x magnifiers.
AAA Battery Life
Powered by one 1.5 V AAA battery, alkaline LR03 or lithium FR03, the CompM5 delivers up to 50,000 hours, or approximately five years, of continuous operation at brightness setting 7. Its high battery compartment provides convenient battery access and replacement.
Professional-Grade Durability
The hard-anodized, high-strength aluminum housing protects the electronic and optical components. Reinforced turret protection and submersibility to 45 m / 150 ft prepare the sight for demanding conditions. It operates from -45 °C to +71 °C and withstands shock, vibration, humidity, and occasional contamination from weapon cleaners, lubricants, fuels, and insect repellents.
